On May 10, IBM and SAP today announced an expanded collaboration in which the two companies are jointly exploring opportunities to leverage SAP to build new generative AI capabilities for RISE and inject AI into SAP business processes. IBM also plans to leverage SAP Signavio and SAP Business AI solutions to help define next generation business processes through proof-of-concept adoption initiatives. IBM and SAP plan to build smart industry use cases in end-to-end business processes to drive the next generation of industry innovation. These use cases will initially focus on the industrial manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, retail, automotive, and utilities industries. IBM and SAP also plan to collaborate around their respective employee network groups and "next generation" communities.
