On July 18, it was reported that OpenAI launched a new artificial intelligence model "GPT-4o mini". The company describes the new product as "the most powerful and cost-effective small chatbot available today," and plans to later integrate image, video and audio capabilities into the product. The mini version is an offshoot of GPT-4o, part of OpenAI's push to put the company at the forefront of "multimodality."
