On May 29th, Pony Smart announced that it has been granted the first and only Shenzhen city-level "unmanned testing of intelligent networked vehicles" permit, and officially started unmanned testing of autonomous driving in Shenzhen's core urban area with "no safety officer in the main driver's seat". Soon, Pony Smart is expected to obtain the "Intelligent Networked Vehicle Demonstration Application" license in Shenzhen, allowing Shenzhen citizens to experience safe and convenient "unmanned" self-driving vehicles at any time.
